On the afternoon of April 29, 2024, with the strong support of the municipal government and relevant departments, the sixth Workers' Song of "Boya Cup" and Xiangyang Industrial Culture Exhibition sponsored by Boya was grandly held at the Xiangyang Theater. Zhang Bin, member of the Party Group of Xiangyang Municipal Government, and leaders from the Organization Department, Propaganda Department, United Front Work Department, Economic and Information Bureau, Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Federation of Trade Unions, National Defense Mobilization Committee Office, and Small and medium-sized Enterprise Development Service Center of the Municipal Party Committee attended the event. Mr. Li pointed out that in recent years, Xiangyang has accelerated the pace of industrial transformation, implemented the key industry chain length system and financial chain length system, and the new and green content of "Made in Xiangyang" has been increasing year by year. In 2023, the total industrial output value of Xiangyang's six key industries, including automobiles and agricultural product processing, accounted for 87.6% of the city. The added value of high-tech manufacturing industry increased by 24.7% year-on-year, Xiangyang successfully ranked among the top 50 advanced manufacturing cities in China and was awarded the title of Excellent City for National Industrial Transformation and Upgrading Demonstration Zone Construction. At the beginning of 2024, Wang Qiyang, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, pointed out that this year Xiangyang will focus on project construction, investment attraction, and talent attraction, coordinate the upgrading of traditional industries, the growth of emerging industries, and the cultivation of future industries, strengthen the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, vigorously promote the 'use' oriented technology innovation, and create a strategic emerging industry cluster with core competitiveness.
