Timely after-sale service for side trimmer of Jiangsu Youfu Thin Plate Technology Co., Ltd.
At 17:50 on 24th December 2024, an ear-piercing ringing came out from marketing manager’s telephone which seems to fill with anxiety and nervousness. The manager answered the call and an urgent voice came from the other end of the phone without pleasantries. ‘ Ball screw of Side Trimmer in No.3 Tension Leveling and Trimming line is broken, please arrange the relative resources and helper to assist in repair.’ That accounts for it, the call is from Equipment Department Minister Ding in Jiangsu Youfu Thin Plate Techlonogy Co., Ltd. There is a batch of edge trimming steel order needs to be shipped before the end of Year 2024, and it’s also critical days of remaining time to complete the annual production task of 500,000 tonnes.
It has been 18:00 after finishing this communication and Boya has already got off work. Considering the dilemma Customer Youfu encountered, marketing manager still called purchasing head and asked him to check the stock of ball screw based on order. Fortunately, procurement minister was working overtime. He quickly found out that this type of ball screw is out of stock and immediately contacted the supplier,who was informed that there is also no stock. Faced with the urgent needs of customers, the procurement department responded quickly and coordinated with suppliers to search for alternative screws and replacement parts. Hard work pays off, they finally found a screw that could be replaced after coordination. But a new problem has arisen, Xiangyang is 820 kilometers away from Suqian, Jiangsu, and there are no more trains available on the same day.
After communicating with the marketing manager, the purchaser took the initiative to negotiate with the supplier to drive to the site overnight. For the sake of safety, they have prepared 6 replaceable ball screws for side trimmer and took an experienced commissioning technician to prevent production delays caused by other situations during on-site replacement.
The latest today is also early, but the earliest tommorrow is late. Minister Ding of Youfu took a long breath of relief after hearing Boya arranged a special car to deliver spare parts and serviceman.
At morning 5:30 25th December, the special car coordinated by Boya stopped atthen entrance of Youfu. Subsequently, marketing manager arrived at site with after-sale servicer urgently assigned from other project. The team quickly found out problem through intensely identifying and discussing. After the spare parts were in place, the No. 3 trimming line quickly resumed production with the cooperation of all parties, which laying the foundation for smooth delivery of orders and production guarantee of 500000 tons.
Boya’s rapid response of service has earned much praise from whole people in Youfu. Although the matter is minor, it reflects the spirit of the Boya people that "we will not let down any trust we have", and this spirit is worth enduring in generations of Boya people.
